The Kramer Family 2018 Christmas Letter

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

2018 was an eventful year with challenges and much good stuff, also.
Health and well-being – All is good at the end of the year. Bernadette went through some joint injuries that kept her out of spinning classes and George had a period of depression earlier in the year. But all of that is behind us as we approach 2019

Work – Although working full time and a half George seems to have the retirement attitude. UTMB had challenges in January due to a gap in grant funding, but the lab is off and working near capacity again at year’s end with a great new team. Arcos, Inc. had its best year yet selling many Burn Navigators that are now in Toughbook, web and iPad versions.

Travel – Despite all, George and Bernadette squeezed in 2 trips to Maui and the Big Island, Hawaii to see our friend Karl and take in snorkeling. A trip to Orlando for George, and Bernadette had a family reunion at Lake Almanor, Calif for brother Jimmy’s birthday celebration. George spent last week in Sacramento and San Francisco visiting friends and his daughter, Beliza, for an early Christmas

The year’s highlight for George was attending his 50th college reunion at USAFA. Most of the 24 Squadron made it to the reunion. We imagine ourselves as all good and decent and were bonded forever in the summer of ‘64.

George has a new mistress, and Bernadette is ok with it. Now an owner of a Hunter 34ft sloop. It is so much sleeker and plusher than our 1980 28 ft O’Day that we had for the last 20 years.

Next year we hope to see many of you. Our wish is for peace on earth and better will towards all of mankind.

George and Bernadette
