From Deadman's Trail

The Schmidt Family 2019 Christmas Letter

Best of everything to you all in this season and the year to come. We are all well and enjoying life here in central Oregon. This past year allowed us some cruise travel in the South Pacific and a short trip to Pennsylvania to visit Isaac, Lex, Juniper and their newest, Soren. We hurried back home as Bethany was predicted to deliver the twins, Sloane and Martin within a few days. They arrived two weeks later, four weeks premature but healthy and greatly loved.

Anna and Karen have been over with Brooklyn who just celebrated her second birthday with us on the first of December. We see them in Eugene every month or so, or they come our way. Jeffrey and Pam and their two boys, 10 and 8 are preparing for Jeffrey’s retirement from the Army next year. They are building a new home in Missouri north of KC.

Sue continues to work, although only ten hours a week starting in January at a school twenty minutes away. Her other loves are the grandkids and keeping me healthy. I finally got her started learning ukulele this year and we attend a uke group together every few weeks.

I am still working at learning golf and guitar when not holding grand babies or leading a small men’s Bible discussion group weekly. Life is good.

May you know the blessings of God in 2020 and beyond.

Stephen and Sue Schmidt
