Don Sutton Picks-up Mike Francisco

Mike was at DaNang flying fast facs when I was there flying Jollies and we met in Intel many times when I was on primary alert and he was briefing for his mission. On one occasion, I got alerted during the day for a rescue attempt up north, but feet wet. Turned out to be not quite so feet wet, but when we pulled the two survivors up, my PJs asked me if I knew a guy named Cisco. I said a few expletive deleteds and turned around to see a pretty big shit eating grin. I told him that I was going to put him back down and he could take his chances - obviously just kidding. Here's a pic of Mike and I at Da Nang on 28 Apr 72. We had just returned to Da Nang after picking them up after they were shot down.
