Alan D. Dillman, CS-24 class of 1968. Mr. Dillman passed away on 24
Nov 2021 in Morrill, NE.
A Funeral service will be held on 1 Dec 2021 at 1030 hours at Monument
Bible Church, 4124 Ave I, Scottsbluff, NE 69361, (308) 632-4099. Burial
will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill, NE.

Obituary:
Alan Dale Dillman November 24, 2021 Alan Dale Dillman, 75, of Morrill,
NE, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at his home. His funeral
service will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at
Monument Bible Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Jeff Banks and Pastor
Jake Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery
in Morrill. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of any flowers,
memorials in Alan's honor be made in care of the church. Online condolences

Born to David and Lydia Dillman February 5, 1946, he attended grade
school at Fairview #34 in the country and High School in Morrill,
NE graduating in 1964. He graduated from the United States Air Force
Academy in 1968 where he was a member of the Academy parachute team.
On August 30th of that same year, he married his high school sweetheart,
Shirley Hughson. Alan went on to pilot training at Laredo Air Force
Base Texas and flew an O2-A as a forward air controller in Vietnam
in 1970. Decorations include two distinguished flying crosses, ten
air medals, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. The remainder of
his time in the service he was stationed at Columbus Air Force Base,
Mississippi where he was an instructor pilot, wing operations officer,
and standardization and evaluation pilot. In 1973 he was awarded the
Air Force T-38 instructor pilot of the year.
In 1976 he came home to NE to take over the family farming and cattle
operation. During these years he was involved in cattle and community
organizations and served on the boards of the Farm Credit Association
and the Farm Credit Bank. In 2006 he started a consulting and coaching
business in leadership and sales training. He was preceded in death
by his parents and brother, Gerald Dillman.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, children: David (Missy), Dana
(Jeff) Banks, and Drew (Michelle), 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren
and 2 great granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
