Ralph Clinton Cooper
March 12, 1946 - February 8, 2025

The U.S. Air Force Academy Association & Foundation has recently learned of the death of Mr. Ralph C. Cooper, CS-19, Class of 1968. Mr. Cooper passed away on Feb. 8, 2025, in Rockport, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 9 a.m. on Sept. 23, 2026, at the Memorial Pavilion at the USAFA Cemetery, 3024 Parade Loop, USAF Academy, Colorado. Inurnment will immediately follow at the Columbarium. Base access details to follow when available. Condolences may be left online with his obituary.

Obituary:
Ralph Clinton “Clint” Cooper of Rockport, TX, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 78. Clint was a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, known for his ever-present sense of humor and willingness to lend a helping hand or a kind word to anyone in need.

Clint was born on March 12, 1946, to Ralph Cooper and Delpha (Musgrave) Cooper in Ponca City, OK. As a member of the Conoco Aquatic Club, he was an accomplished swimmer, winning several medals and trophies. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1964 and attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. During his time at the Academy, Clint participated in the remote-control model airplane club. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1968.

Clint married Shirley McManus on December 2, 1977. His career included various positions within the IT industry. In 2013, Clint retired from Bell Helicopter, and he and his wife Shirley embarked on their greatest adventure, traveling the country together.

Clint was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Cooper, his son Brent Cooper of Bedford, TX, his brother Douglas Cooper, and his sister Beckie Cooper, both of Stillwater, OK, and 4 grandchildren.
