Hey
'68
Summer vacations
are over, the Grandkids are back in school, the pre-season Football
picks (and scandals) are picking up steam, and
uh oh
many
members of USAFA '68 are just now realizing that our 45th Reunion is
only two months away (we're having a Reunion?
it was on the
Class web site?
what's a web site?).
Actually, many of you are way ahead of the curve and have not only already
registered (check who's coming on the Class web site - www.USAFA68.org),
but have made significant donations to a very wide variety of USAFA
activities that are important to them, and many of us as well. We're
over 25% participation and growing every day
thanks for your continued
support!
Significantly, the Twenty Trolls have followed through with their stated
objective and already have raised $1000 for every member
of the Squadron at graduation, including "in memory" donations
for our two deceased classmates. Not every person donated but some members
of the squadron made additional donations for those who did not choose
to participate.
The Class of '68 is now the #1 class in Sabre Society
membership. We have a higher percentage of donors in Sabre Society
than any other class. Many thanks to Mike Parkinson and Steve McPhail
for conceiving the dream, working diligently with their squadron mates
to overcome obstacles, and making this happen!
Speaking of overcoming obstacles
when the Falcons take the field
against Army on November 2nd, over 125 of our classmates (and many of
our wives) will be showing their support for the AFA by proudly wearing
their '68 Class football jerseys
either over or under several
layers of additional clothing!
Thanks for all you do,
Neal
